Corona Del Mar Residence

CAD Stone Works sourced the material program for this residence through its trade accounts and importer network across Los Angeles. The centerpiece selection was a dramatic Arabescato marble, chosen at the yard for the strength and symmetry of its veining so it could be book matched across a tall fireplace face. Honed limestone and additional premium marble slabs were selected for the surrounding spaces, each inspected for color, density, and movement before being routed to the fabrication shop.

The signature element is the fireplace surround in the primary living space, fabricated from Arabescato marble and book matched so the veining opens symmetrically from floor to ceiling, reading as a single continuous field rather than a set of panels. Achieving that mirror effect across a tall surface demands precise slab sequencing and exact cutting, because any drift in the match is visible at full height. In the kitchen, the islands were fabricated with mitered apron edges, the faces joined so the stone appears as a solid, thick form with no visible seam at the corner. Every piece was vetted for fissures and verified for uniform thickness before cutting.

CAD Stone Works coordinated delivery and installation with the general contractor to keep the heavy stone elements moving in a clean sequence on site. Final installation was executed to architectural tolerances, with the book matched fireplace, the kitchen islands, and the master bathroom slab work set so the finished result holds true to the design intent, structurally sound and visually seamless.
